Asian markets were trading mixed on Tuesday. Stocks on Wall Street posted gains for the second straight session on light trading volumes.
China’s Shanghai Composite declined 0.52 percent or 11.68 points at 2,212.98. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 0.10 percent or 24.84 points at 24,621.18.
Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.35 percent or 52.48 points at 15,183. Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.29 percent or 9.47 points at 3,315.92.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite added 0.24 percent or 4.95 points at 2,044.32. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,167.61.
