Street closed near session lows with over 2 percent cuts on Monday. The CBOE
VIX surged more than 40 percent to finish above 17 as two explosions at the
Boston Marathon Finish Line left three dead and nearly 100 injured.
Indian equity benchmarks closed firm on Monday after wholesale
price inflation data hit a 40-month low at 5.96 percent. Core inflation data
was also below 4 percent. The Sensex closed at 18357 up 115 points
and the Nifty ended at 5568 up 39 points.
