Anasty earnings surprise
from technology major Infosys dragged the Sensex by 300 points on
Friday. It closed at 18,242.56, down 299.64 points over the previous close, and
the Nifty closed at 5,528.55, down 65.45 points.
In key economic data, March WPI inflation will be announced
today and is expected to be slightly lower at 6.4 percent. Food inflation could
fall due to high base and also fuel inflation may not be that high. Core
inflation is seen remaining at 3.8%.
