The US markets ended off session lows but the Dow
still finished in negative territory, as investors took a pause amid a lack of
significant market catalysts and after the S&P briefly hit its highest
level since December 2007. The CBOE volatility index ended near 13.
Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.26% or 35.79 points at 13982.91. Nasdaq Composite was up 0.33% or 10.39 points at 3196.88. Standard & Poor’s 500 was up 0.06% or 0.9 points at 1520.33.
