CS CLOSING BELL Indian markets closed in red due to weak global cues.Traders were cautious as fed meet is lined up and October expiry is on thursday. The Sensex slipped 108.52 points or 0.4 percent at 27253.44 and the Nifty was down 27.65 points or 0.3 percent at 8232.90. About 1264 shares advanced, 1446 shares declined, and 142 shares were unchanged. Asian markets were also week. Bharti Airtel (Airtel) and Eaton Towers, a leading independent telecoms tower company in Africa, have concluded the sale and purchase of the tower assets of the company’s Burkina Faso. Airtel has now concluded sale of about 9000 telecom towers in eight African countries and Eaton Towers has acquired 2500 tower from Airtel in four countries ‐ Ghana, Uganda, Kenya and Burkina Faso. In each of these four countries, Airtel has committed to a 10‐year tenancy contract TVS Motor has reported 22.78% rise in its net profit at Rs 116.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 94.81 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 7.96% to Rs 2886.45 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 2673.58 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Strides Arcolab has reported 97.25% fall in its net profit at Rs 9.32 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 338.47 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has increased by 16.83% to Rs 285.12 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 244.04 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. State Bank of Mysore has posted a rise of 29.52% in its net profit at Rs 131.98 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 101.9 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation has increased by 3.65% at Rs 1969.96 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1900.52 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014. Maruti Suzuki India has reported 42.09% rise in its net profit at Rs 1225.56 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 862.54 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 12.59% to Rs 14070.85 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 12497.03 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Lupin has reported 7.44% rise in its net profit at Rs 493.80 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 459.62 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 9.97% to Rs 2581.91 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 2347.83 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. AXIS Bank has posted a rise of 18.93% in its net profit at Rs 1915.64 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 1610.71 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 13.75% at Rs 12001.01 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 10549.97 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
