CS 11-Sep-2015 US stocks ended higher on Thursday in another day of broad swings as investors showed nervousness ahead of next week’s much-anticipated Federal Reserve meeting, but gains in Apple and biotech shares supported the day’s advance. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 76.83 points, or 0.47 percent, to 16,330.4, the S&P 500 gained 10.25 points, or 0.53 percent, to 1,952.29 and the Nasdaq Composite added 39.72 points, or 0.84 percent, to 4,796.25.
