Capital Stroke : Asian Markets Asian equities mostly widened losses early Wednesday, after China’s flash Caixin purchasing managers’ index (PMI) fell to a six-and-ah-half-year low of 47.0 in September. China’s Shanghai Composite index declined 1.2 percent, tracking the slide in regional equity markets, with blue chips leading the way. Taiwan’s weighted index dropped to a more than one-week low, a day before the central bank’s quarterly policy meeting. South Korea’s Kospi index nosedived amid a broad-based slump.
