Capital Stroke : Asian Markets Asian stocks declined early Monday, tracking an uninspiring lead from Wall Street, as the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates near zero stoked concerns about global growth. China’s Shanghai Composite index quickly trimmed losses after opening down more than 1 percent at the open. Among the mainland’s other indexes, the CSI300 Index and the Shenzhen Composite sagged 0.6 percent each. South Korea’s Kospi index headed south, with heavyweight components leading the declines.
