CAPITAL STROKE UPDATE: ASIAN MARKETS 22-Jul-2015

Capital Stroke : Asian Markets Asian shares joined their global peers in the red early Wednesday, with investors turning their attention to domestic data releases, earnings on Wall Street and the fall in commodity prices. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index fell 0.9 percent. Japan’s Nikkei 225 led losses in the region in early trade, pulling back from its highest close since June 25 attained in the previous session. South Korea’s Kospi index headed south at the open, in line with regional weakness, while the US dollar was fetching 1,151.8 won, as the local currency strengthened a tad after tapping a two-year low of 1,158 won against the US dollar in the previous session.
